Religious Prayer – A friend gave me his own description of typical prayer of a Christian in a business culture. The paradigm is throwing up a request and hoping God will sovereignly do it all.
I have struggled for years with my prayer life. I’ve struggled with focus, with purpose, with relinquishing my own ego-centric wants. I’ve spent way more time praying for my own wishes, wants, and worries rather than for others and for the Kingdom, generally. I’m not proud of it.
Conversation & Sonship – Businesspeople aren’t spiritual Neanderthals whose prayer life sucks. Sons have this description of their conversations with Father. Their paradigm is dialog around their assignment aligned with Father’s purpose and taking initiative with His favor, anointing, and power.
I’m moving from Crumbs to Conversations; from asking, wishing, and begging, to Ascending, Binding, and Loosing. Father does things through me, not just for me! Prayer is prophetic because more than half the conversation is listening. It must be received, spoken, and acted upon (implemented).
The Prayer Transformation – Going to Father’s Council, growing my seer gift, and hearing from Father, Jesus, and the Seven Spirits of God have revolutionized my own communication with God and made the prophetic take-home much richer. Prayer used to be sporadic, disciplined, short, self-centered, and embarrassingly fruitless. It’s gone from that to something I treasure, transcribe, and put in action. It’s the wellspring of everything I can do for other people, prophetically and practically. It’s an unmistakable experience, not a doctrine or a protocol. Interacting with the 7 Spirits of God; Wisdom and Understanding, Counsel and Might, Knowledge and Fear of the Lord add facets of Father’s heart that results in a whole new level of prophetic revelation in Heaven and authority on Earth. Sons have an invitation to ascend to the Courts of heaven and Father’s Council. They can be prophetic Seers and Priests in Heaven and apostolic Kings on earth who co-laborer with Father. They can build His Kingdom on Earth through their business and participate in a Reformation of Nations. Their staff can be an Ecclesia who build the business and the Kingdom at the same time. Sons say “yes” to being Priests in Heaven and Kings on Earth. It’s not a burden, it’s how Kingdom Business works!
- Priests (Seers) who ascend to Heaven’s Courts & Council and see Father’s strategy.
- Kings (Doers) who bring Heaven’s Purpose to Earth in Business.
They are experiencing the Courts of Heaven to deal with accusations, and they participate in God’s Council to “see” what Father is doing so we can do it with Him (Jn 5:19). A business Reformation of people, businesses, communities, and Nations “is” bringing heaven to earth. It all starts with seeing what is already bound and loosed in Heaven. Sons bring that justice and liberty to earth and make it happen.
The Prayer of sons and daughters in the Kingdom goes beyond prayer, beyond the typical asking, hoping, wishing, and requesting. Sons are Seers & Doers, they see in Heaven first and take initiative on earth second, with a whole different level of clarity and authority.
#1. We contend for the Kingdom because we have Father’s heart and see injustice and opportunity through His eye’s.
#2. We bind or loose in heaven first (Courts and Council), then we bring that victory to earth.
Mt 16:19 – “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.”
#3. We are not surprised if people under the influence of the wrong spirit resist or reject us. Though painful, we don’t have a martyr complex and we still do what Father is doing regardless. Our reward is hearing him say, “Well done.” The people we minister too are incredibly grateful and love us back. It’s fun!
#4. We never give up on what is in Father’s heart. Things happen in the spirit that we don’t know about, so we just stick with the dynamic of what Father is saying and doing. Prayer can be answered immediately or after some persistent wrestling, it doesn’t change our assignment.
Dan 10:12 – Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words.

Cutting Room Floor
One of the thrills of experiencing Father’s Council is getting familiar with what each carry. Hearing those perspectives every time you go adds so much. The headings to the following paragraphs are linked to the videos used in the 7 Spirit Cue Cards that introduce the unique theme or personality of each. I bring up everything that’s in my heart as topics, but the best stuff always comes when I ask Father what is in His heart and hear the elaboration from Jesus and the 7 Spirits.
Father – is all about bringing many sons to glory (Heb 2:10-11), so they bring many Nations to Reformation (Mt 28:19-20). He has written His desires in our hearts. He is gathering his family and pulling sons and daughters into their inheritance. Father is all about opening His son’s books and engaging them in His work of bringing Heaven to Earth.
Tobe has a restaurant business with a clear Kingdom purpose (book) for himself, and the business mapped into Aspirations to fulfill his Kingdom assignment. He has a Compelling Story that makes sense of his past, present, and future. We use 1-on-1s in business to help our staff get their Kingdom purpose in writing. Kingdom culture is premised on the momentum of people connecting with what God wrote in their hearts. It’s powerful. That connection is the worship that comes from their work. When the Kingdom seed is planted in hearts, all by itself the soil produces (Mark 4:26-29). We all love doing what God wrote in our hearts, living out the purpose-full story in our book (Ps. 139:15-16). Son’s love doing what Father does.
Jesus (Redemption) – is all about setting captives free from hindrance and setbacks. Spiritual warfare is present around opening books and Kingdom business culture. Accusations with roots in our family line are broken in the courts of Heaven. In the Courts of Heaven, we agree with the accusation, nail it to the cross, and trade for decrees that release books. It’s an answer to chaos at its roots.
Holy Spirit (Spirit of truth)– connects us with the living words that proceed from Father’s heart. We come away from the council with specific decrees to implement that purpose on earth. Holy Spirit also imparts a prophetic unction to articulate Father’s purpose and the anointing to make it happen on earth. Businesspeople don’t need to be called prophets, but they do need to be prophetic (Fluent in what Father is saying and doing right now, John 5:19).
Wisdom (Strategy) – Father has a strategy that the spirit of wisdom reveals. The smart way to approach the fulfillment of purpose in our business book that makes our dream come true. She takes our hand and walks us through Father’s purpose; shows us His strategy; lets us in on why. Sons are not servants, happy with mindless obedience. Father wants sons who know the why behind His will so they can show initiative and creativity in co-laboring with Him.
Understanding (Tactics) – is navigating the tactics to implement the strategy behind Father’s purpose. There is always more than one way, and it’s often a conversation with questions and answers where we play a role in offering up ideas. As a result, we come away from the council with how to bring Heaven to Earth in our business.
Counsel (My Role) – Father is doing many things on many fronts with many people. Our role gets clarity from the Spirit of Counsel. Staying in our lane, metron, or assignment is a big part of replacing frustration with fruit in our lives. Conversely, most of us underestimate the scope and authority Father has given us as sons. We are joint heirs of God’s Kingdom on earth, bringing Reformation to people, businesses, and Nations. Seeing my role in the context of the big picture is exhilarating.
Might (My Authority) – Sons carry an anointing for valor and exploits. The Spirit of Might opens a door into a courageous anointing that reminds us of David’s mighty men. Understanding Father’s purpose and my role make us dangerous to the devil and powerful in establishing God’s Kingdom on earth. We don’t back down from difficulties; we reign with Father on earth.
Knowledge (The Take Home Summary) – The Spirit of Knowledge alludes to the downloads we get in the council. Our seer gift is activated to see new ideas, new approaches, and innovations. Like our Father, we are designed to be creative; to speak to things that are not as though they are because we have already seen them in Heaven. Knowledge is the spirit behind prophetic leaders who paint where we’re going and what we’re doing.
Fear of the Lord (Honor) – Once our seer gift is activated, we see books in people, and we can’t help honoring what they carry. The Kingdom is a culture of honor; we are very aware of what Father God carries, and we are in sync with what is written in the books of our brothers and sisters. We can’t help but love them and help them inherit their land because we can see it.

What’s the value? – We have lots of great information in our books and courses – it’s groundbreaking. Here’s what I’ve learned in the last decade: things like heart connection, courts, council, tribe, and business progress are all better caught than taught. Sonship starts with prophetically highlighting what’s in a person’s book. When we do that, they are motivated to go to the next level as priestly Seers and earthly Kings in their businesses and relationships. As spiritual fathers, we are liberators, not sheriffs. And, those whose hearts we set free, love us back. Repentance has a place, but the real goal is to redeem Father’s purpose in our lives, businesses, and nations. This whole Kingdom process is fun!
