Lord, Teach Me to Create Value

(Intro Video) In Windfalls and Wealth Transfers we walked through why getting Something-For-Nothing — a sudden gift with no purpose attached — isn’t the pattern Scripture actually shows, even in the four texts most often cited to justify wealth transfer. Sons don’t chase windfalls or rabbits or wait for ships to come in. They know Father’s purpose, co-labor with what He’s already doing, and let Him handle the multiplication.

Jn 5:17 – My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.
19)    the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing

That raises the obvious next question: okay, then how? If not a miraculous windfall, what does creating value look like… for me? Here are the four steps Sons walk through to create value:

Four steps, and they run in this order for a reason — skipping the first one is exactly how a good plan turns into a soulish one.

#1).  Hear the Purpose

Everything starts in the Council, not at a whiteboard. Living Words are daily bread and destiny:

  • Near term – the day-to-day word for what Father is doing today;
  • Long term – the bigger vision for your heritage; your role in Reformation.

Both matter. The near-term conversations keeps you from drifting — waiting for windfalls. The big picture keeps today’s task in the exciting context of heritage and Reformation. Skip the conversation and every step after it is just soulish effort wearing a business plan.

#2).  Create the Value

Value isn’t a byproduct of hustle — it’s Heaven’s purpose translated into something new that didn’t exist before. This is the actual definition of financial health worth working from: being connected to Father’s purpose, near and far, and then building the thing that carries that purpose to earth. Money was never the missing ingredient. Lack of purpose others can share, and lack of value creation others will actually buy, is what’s missing — not funding.

Deut 8:18 – remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth
(Wealth Chayil is really creating value… money follows purpose & value like a puppy)

#3).  Package the Product

A purpose without a product is just a sermon. Packaging the product that gives the value is the second step of creativity, the necessary work of building whatever actually delivers the value in a business context — the product, the service, and the offer a real buyer can say yes to. This is where “seek first His kingdom” (Mt 6:33) meets an invoice.

#4),  Optimize the Buyer’s Experience

The cloud moves; purpose morphs. Sons anticipate change instead of defending version one out of habit. Optimizing isn’t admitting the first attempt was wrong — it’s the same mid-course-correction practice from having the Conversations: see the purpose, plan the approach, do the work, and keep making the corrections it takes to actually follow the Lamb instead of a fossilized plan.

The Real Measure Isn’t Money

Dying with the most money and toys isn’t really the goal. If value creation is the goal, it’s worth considering what actually measures progress, because it isn’t just cash flow. Three metrics are:

The Living Words that inspired it — prophetic quality and clarity, not just a good idea.

The creativity that results — the actual innovation produced by implementing the purpose in a valuable product, not just preaching a rosy future, but keeping in step with implementation.

The fruit that remains — value that blesses and ministers to people and pulls them into their own sonship and their own ability to create value, multiplying Kingdom culture instead of stopping with “the sale.”

That third measure is the real difference between value creation and a windfall. A windfall ends with you. Genuine value creation multiplies outward — both the creator and the buyer end up blessed, and the buyer often ends up better equipped to create value themselves. That’s the whole point of giving people their ability to produce value instead of giving them money: value multiplies. Something-For-Nothing windfalls given with no purpose usually lead people, businesses, and ministries to double down on what caused the poverty in the first place — absence of value.

One sad reality

If we are subscribed to a something-for-nothing windfall it’s usually an empty promise from the enemy. Whether it’s an investment, gift, or a business idea, if there is no Kingdom purpose or value connected to it beyond our personal desire, it’s almost always a lie. If we choose to put “faith” in a future windfall we’re actually opening ourselves up to the next scam. Most of us have been there, and that level of deception and disappointment is not an easy recovery. We told ourselves God was in the windfall and when it fails to materialize, the confusion feels like God betrayed us. Money is a tool used in the value creation process, never the goal.

Pro 23:4 – Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.
5)  Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

Hear the Living Words, Then Co-labor with Father

This isn’t a formula you run once. It’s a way of life for sons and daughters — have the conversations to frame purpose and direction, then bring it to earth and do the work, daily. See the purpose. Stay engaged and motivated. Plan the approach. Make the mid-course corrections it takes to keep following the Lamb rather than defending yesterday’s plan.

Prov 3:14-16 – for she (Wisdom) is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

You are the hero in this part of the story. Father has already written the script for your involvement — the desires already in your heart, and the Living Words waiting for you in the Council. Windfalls ask you to wait for someone else’s dream to fund yours. Creating value is co-laboring with the dream Father already wrote in your heart coupled with the Living Words He is currently speaking.
