We’ve all been through seasons when there wasn’t enough money. It’s chaotic and confusing because:

• • It feels like we’re not in control,
  • And it feels like God must not be in control either.

That atmosphere of chaos in our lives, along with wondering where God is, leaves our minds in a state of confusion where it’s especially difficult to hear His voice. We’re consumed with imagining every ugly scenario that could result – it’s human nature. It’s also the nature of spiritual warfare; chaos and cash flow can be tools the enemy uses to derail us from purpose. Said another way, the absence of Father’s purpose in our lives is often the root of chaos and cash flow issues. Those experiences are often the wake-up call to look for Father’s purpose.

Eph 3:20 – Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
according to his power that is at work within us 

Who Fixes it? – One response to chaos in cash flow is to curl up in a ball and wait for God to sovereignly fix it. Passiveness is seldom the answer.

Following the Lamb is the real implication that we don’t have all the answers and need a guide. Digging through our intellectual closet for every possible fix misses Father’s purpose. I’m prone to put my head down, go back to work, make more bricks until the next paycheck, and hope for the best. It’s really resignation to my own self-sufficiency and getting the dial tone in prayer. Co-laboring is the real fix!

Here’s the fix – We come out of the fog of war and hear Father’s purpose in the Council. That shows up in conversations and Living Words from Father, Jesus, and the 7 Spirits. With that insight, “we” bring reformation back to earth, and we’re undergirded with Father’s power to do it. Our personal and business problems are always in the context of a larger purpose. When I see the big picture, peace begins to rule over my anxious heart, and my ears can hear Father’s way out.

2Tim 1:7 – For God has not given us the spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Managing Cash Flow – Once we see our path forward and get out of the chaos, there is a strategic need to learn to stay out of trouble. Part of that wisdom is learning to manage cash flow. The business reality is that there is never enough money to do everything we want. Businesses grow at the pace of the value we create. Growth is a ramp-up, not a miracle!

The two levers to prayerfully manage cash flow and follow the Lamb at the same time are shown in the graphic below: 1) stop bleeding cash, and 2) start adding the value that Father can bring. It’s not just what we can do, sonship is really a metric for what God can do through you!

#1).  Stop the Bleeding – The enemy loves to steal. There can be spiritual doors that need to be opened or closed in the courts of heaven. The second realm of loss is our carnal ambitions that cause misspending. Those can also be fueled by issues that are candidates for the courts of heaven.

The spiritual truth behind cash flow is where your treasure, there will your heart be also, Mt 6:21. There is message in our spending priorities that reveals our heart. Even though most businesspeople delegate the details to bookkeepers, accountants, and software, it’s easy to put all that data in a cash flow format to monitor trends, project your future, and dodge train wrecks.

Larry Tyler is a great example of someone who can provide an overview and suggest improvements to monitor cash flow.  He can also serve as a fractional CFO in a longer-term relationship. #2).  Add Value –  The second lever that goes with sonship is how we make room for Father to add all these things, Mt 6:33. Sons and daughters in Kingdom business can bring Heaven to Earth on both practical and miraculous levels that translate to adding value for their clients. The newest innovation in marketing a Kingdom Business is linking your prophetic purpose with your business offer in a way that resonates. We’re blessing people with value “and” allowing Holy Spirit to help make the sale.

#1). A confirmation from Holy Spirit on a buy decision is very compelling and very healthy. The absence of pressure and manipulation is like a fresh wind blowing in the business mountain.

#2). There is also a cultural element. The atmosphere in your business can be an experience in the presence of God for both staff and customers that is warm and inviting.

The bottom line is that sons and daughters can intentionally co-labor with Father via conversations in the Council to bring Father’s purpose to earth in a Reformation that is very good for cash flow and very motivating for the business culture. Purpose replaces the chaos and theft. Sons are intentional about getting clarity on Father’s purpose from their seat in Heavenly places.
