The Dial Tone – Most entrepreneurs are confident and qualified. They usually manage other people, make important decisions, and have a degree of success. Their premise is that they are good people taking care of business, and God doesn’t want to make business decisions anyway, which is largely true. All creation is waiting for sons, not servants.

This age of Kingdom tweaks that a bit because businesses have a Kingdom purpose that can be instrumental in Reformation. Internal staff can become a Kingdom business culture that nurtures the dreams of individuals. Most businesses miss the point that the development of their team is the lifeblood of their cash flow via creativity, innovation, and initiative. You can use servants and slaves to make bricks, but anything else goes much smoother if you’re developing sons and co-laboring with Father – intentionally.

Missing purpose on those two levels is missing God. We all get the dial tone until we learn to listen. Let me introduce you to the Spirit of Wisdom.

Prov 8:16by me princes govern, and all nobles who rule on earth.
17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.
18 With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.
19 My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver
. NIV

That sounds like someone an objective business leader would want to know, doesn’t it?

Answering the Ringing Phone – God is not a cosmic frequency that you just have to tune into to get the latest guidance for your business. He’s relational and looking for a conversation with you and me. Yes, He’s knocking on your door, and if you respond, a Q & A is next (Rev. 3:20).

Try Being Yourself (Without the Religious Fig Leaf) – Although you may have missed the mark in the past, you are created in your Father’s image, and He has written His desires in your heart. The biggest reason people don’t answer the phone (besides busyness) is that they assume God will tell them to sell the business, go to Bible College, and become a missionary in Africa. If that were true, I wouldn’t answer the phone either!

Father loves you the way he created you; the good news of the gospel is that He wants you to be you. Surprisingly, your Father wants to give you the desires of your heart. He’s the one that wrote them there (Heb. 8:10, 10:16 and Jer. 31). He also wants to bless your business and staff (make your dream come true). The price tag is volunteering to be His son, starting the conversations, and doing what He is doing (Jn. 5:19), co-laboring with Father.

Rabbit Trails – Because you’re in business, you already know what it’s like to pee into the wind. Father won’t go with you on the rabbit trails outside your purpose. But for the desires in your heart and your Father’s heart, He is offering to fill your sails with the wind of His Spirit. Yes? You could continue on your own, but why? All creation is waiting for sons. A Reformation is waiting for heroes in the business Mountain. You’re holding a personal invitation to play your role and become your true self. You’re already a perfect fit for that!

Eph 2:10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. NIV

Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Heart – Kingdom is a huge transition from doing life on your own to an awareness that Jesus is not ashamed to call you His brother, that you have a seat in Heaven, and that your level of heroism is much greater than your business. Father is inviting you to help bring Heaven to Earth in a Reformation that blesses people, businesses, cities, and Nations. His purpose is very strategic, and your role is very clear. You just need to know what that purpose is in the context of your business. It needs to be clear to you! To a surprising degree, your purpose is already written in your heart. You just have to get out of your head to see it.

Remember the point about conversations? That happens in Father’s Council. Want to know a secret? This blog originated from a question I raised in the Council (linked here). Jesus paved the way so we could have access to our Father in Heaven. That’s why he’s not ashamed to call us brothers (Heb 2:9-10). Sons are part of God’s family, the ones who bring Kingdom purpose from Heaven to Earth and do the greater works.

Purpose Profiles – We help businesses transition to the joy and prosperity of a Kingdom business culture by leveraging your unique purpose to ignite your staff and customers. The fun begins when you discover the why God wrote in your heart. We marry the cultural and practical side of sound business practices. Cash flow comes from a well-motivated, engaged staff culture and a wisely managed, value-based business built on Kingdom purpose already written in hearts. We have the resources to help you shift the culture and respond to the challenges. The starting place is a Purpose Profile (see examples).
