The book of revelation is thought of as apocalyptic in our culture; thanks in part to a faulty rapture theology that predicted the end/destruction of the world in judgement when Jesus returns. In reality, the bible verses pointing to destruction have a fulfillment in history – the destruction of the Jewish temple, city, and nation in AD 70. What remains is the full disclosure of Jesus.

It’s natural for our culture to assume the worst when experiencing Covid-19 and economic pressure. The spiritual atmosphere in the press is made to sound apocalyptic and has roots in faulty church theology. The enemy’s strategy is to destroy our future and our nation. We are under Jezebel’s threat. Like Elijah, many prominent leaders in the church and government are running and hiding (1 Kings 19). However, God is taking the wraps off His Son Jesus and His sons (us) to bless nations, not destroy them. Apocalypse has an entirely different meaning Biblically than what we use presently.

Apocalypse (modern English) – the complete final destruction of the world, as described in the biblical book of Revelation

Apokalupsis (Greek) – NT:602 an uncovering, disclosure (Of Jesus)

Rev. 1:1The revelation (Apokalupsis) of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. NIV

Rom. 8:19-20The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed (Apokalupsis). NIV

Jude 14-15Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones (sons) NIV

Sons are not being swept up to heaven in a rapture. They are being assembled into an Ezekial 37 army to rule and reign with Jesus on earth. Sons are here to judge, but it’s a judgement that sets people free, instead of oppressing them. Knowing the purpose of God is what gives us courage to arise.

Matt. 10:7-9‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. NIV

Good news – Just in the last week there has been a prophetic sense of turning the tide against enemy discouragement and oppression. The devil is not just a liar and a thief; in comparison to the Father he is pathetically weak, powerless, and about to be overwhelmed. The victory was assured at the cross, but God is saving the final victory for His sons.

Matt. 16:18-19“I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock (Hermon, Zion, the council) I will build My church (ecclesia, sons); and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.  19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.” ESV and NASU

The revelation of servants and sheep who get saved is that Jesus is King and Lord. The revelation of Kingdom is “sons,” that Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of Lords and that He is not ashamed to call us brothers (Heb. 2:11). The first leads to revival, apostolic ministry, and church growth; the second adds the keys to the kingdom of heaven: the equipping and release of “sons” into their mountain and the reformation of nations.

What sons do – The Keys sons have are access to heaven in the courts and council. They are present to deal with accusations from the enemy (Rev. 12) and to allow the Father to show them all He is doing (Jn. 5:19). They appear before God in Zion and receive their mandate to bring heaven to earth. They have a different spirit to possess their land, and the lion-like courage of David’s mighty men. They are Seers and Doers.

Ps. 84:5-7How blessed is the man whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion!  6 Passing through the valley of Baca they make it a spring; The early rain also covers it with blessings.  7 They go from strength to strength, Every one of them appears before God in Zion.  NASU
