Sonship and Spiritual Warfare
The strategy of Sons for Accusations, Strongholds, and Cultural Strongholds
Three Fronts, Not One Fight
(Intro Video) As sons and daughters mature, we encounter different levels of spiritual warfare in three phases:
#1). Â When we learn to hear living Words in the Council, enemy accusations surface to counter them.
#2). Â If we get clarity on our spiritual heritage and future, personal strongholds are uncovered that protect old arguments and pretensions connected to roots of bitterness and vulnerability to past temptations.
#3).  When we align with Father’s heart for Reformation on Earth, we can see the cultural strongholds that stand in the way.
#1). Â Living Words vs. Accusation
Sonship begins with Living Words — not doctrine recalled from memory, but something heard and seen in the Council, in real time, that reflects what Father is actually doing right now so that we can do it with Him.
Note: Spiritual warfare makes no sense without Living Words that embrace Father’s purpose. Imagine warring with the devil (my will versus his); I lose every time. Warfare attempted apart from Father’s purpose isn’t warfare at all — it’s research on enemy devices or defending an intellectual belief with verses.
The resistance designed to degrade Living Words is accusations — fiery darts aimed at identity, worth, or heritage. Accusations are the mirror image of prophetic encouragement and carry weight. They sting because they are at least partly true. The dart only works if it goes unanswered. Sons nourished by Living Words every day keep the slate clean from accusations as a matter of maintenance in the Courts of Heaven. Accusations have some legal basis in the Spirit, and Jesus is our legal advocate, the only answer we have. So, we simply agree with the accusations because they are true and take them to the cross.
#2). Â Inheritance vs. Personal Strongholds
The second track is inheritance — what’s already been shown to you in heaven, now being contended for on earth. This is forward-leaning by nature. It’s not nostalgia for what God used to do; it’s clarity about a future that’s unveiled and settled in the Council, with the path of life mapped out ahead. Part of our job as sons is getting that heritage in writing in something that looks like a business plan, our coaching roadmap.
What opposes inheritance isn’t a frontal denial of the future — it’s a stronghold: the fortified mindset that comes from believing accusations instead of refuting them. Strongholds are mental captivity, and they’re almost always justified by a root — a root of bitterness or a vulnerability to the old temptations of fortune, fame, power, and lust. A stronghold doesn’t feel like an attack from the outside. It feels like our heart’s desires from the inside, the prison of our own willful desires. We don’t honestly want to change. God has to work in our hearts to have the desire, to be willing. The superficial arguments and pretensions are a stronghold we don’t want to leave – It takes the miracle of heart redemption in the Courts of Heaven to set us free.
#3). Â Reformation vs. Cultural Strongholds
The big-picture alignment with what Father is doing is reformation — adopting Father’s heart and contending not just for yourself, but for what Father is doing in people, cities, businesses, and nations. This is sons and daughters bringing heaven to earth at scale, by His power at work in them, not their own effort dressed up as ministry. Business is a perfect forum to gather sons and daughters who co-labor on Kingdom Purpose and connect the dots to Reformation.
What resists at this scale isn’t a single accusation or a personal stronghold — it’s the source behind both: rulers, authorities, principalities, and powers of this dark world, spiritual forces in high places. This is where warfare confronts the mass deception in a culture often fueled by propaganda in media and marketing. Paul names as the real opponent in Ephesians 6, and the reason an entire society can buy the same lie at once (2 Cor 4:4), the God of this age blinding the minds of people who haven’t heard Living Words.
How We Grow as Sons and Warriors
This table is a great summary of the three phases of growth in sonship, the warfare we encounter at each step.

Sons Are More than Conquerors
As sons get clarity on seeing what Father is doing via nine conversations in God’s Council, they awaken to the present reality of Spiritual Warfare and the weapons we have been given to defeat enemy strongholds. We are not withstanding an enemy onslaught; Sons and Daughters are the flood that overwhelms the powers of darkness (Isa 59:19). We are the lights from which darkness flees.
Imagine a business culture with Sons and Daughters:
- Who hear Father’s purpose in Council Conversations.
- Can handle spiritual warfare in the Courts in 5 ways (Weapons not of this world):
- Personal accusations (Fiery Darts)
- Personal strongholds demolished (Mental Captivity, Unwilling, Self-willed)
- Cultural strongholds demolished (Mass Deception)
- Taking Roots to the cross that originally opened doors for all three.
- Releasing Father’s decrees, the Spirit of Truth that replaces the Spirit of Deception

Confronting Personal Strongholds to Create Willing Hearts in Sons and Daughters
(In the Courts of Heaven)
Jer 31:33 – For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,
declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.
And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Heb 8:10 – For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,
declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Heb 10:16 – This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds
Ezek 36:26 – I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;
I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Ps 51:10 – Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11)Â Â Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12) Â Â Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Ps 110:3 – Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor,
your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.
Ps 139:23-24 – Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
Pro 4:23 – Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Romans 12:2 – Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—
his good, pleasing and perfect will.
2 Cor 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:
The old has passed away, the new is here!
Phil 2:13 – for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
