Rejoicing in the Face of Resistance

(Intro Video and Sharable PDF) We have all seen the prideful arrogance of successful, wealthy people making a huge splash. Paul, on the other hand, got his prayer request for a big splash turned down and found out Jesus’ power in him was released through his weakness more than his personal prowess and success. For Jesus’ sake Paul delighted in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.

2Cor 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses,
so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

10)
That is why, for Christ’s sake,
I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Here’s the truth: resistance, warfare, and obstacles are not from God. They come from living in a world being contested for Reformation. But God redeems every resistance to mature His sons and daughters and release His power through them.

Sons are overcomers, not victims. They see the victory coming and Father’s strategies to make it happen. God doesn’t author the attack—He authors the outcome. And when we have the conversations understand what Father is redeeming through different trials, rejoicing becomes the natural response.

The Varieties of Resistance—And Their Redemptive Fruit

Not all trials are the same. Scripture reveals three distinct categories, each with different fruit.

  1. Trials That Mature You (It Can Be About You)

James 1:2 – Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
               3)    because the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
               4)    Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete.”

Some trials are personal—exposing weaknesses, testing faith, forging character.

  • The fruit:Maturity, perseverance. You become Isaiah Oaks of Righteousness. (Isa 61:3)
  • The rejoicing:You see the Display of His Splendor, transforming weakness into strength.

  1. Spiritual Warfare Over Higher Purpose (Affects You, But Not About You)

Some battles aren’t targeting you personally. You’re standing in the way of something bigger. It’s not about you; it’s about carrying Father’s purpose as a son.

  • The fruit:Clarity on your assignment. The warfare is positional.
  • The rejoicing:Romans 8:28—warfare proves you’re operating in the purpose the enemy fears.

  1. Suffering With and For Jesus—Persecution

Acts 5:41 – The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing
because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.

Some trials come because you bear Christ’s name. “If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed” (1 Peter 4:14).

  • The fruit:Partnership with Christ’s sufferings. Hearing, “Well Done!”
  • The rejoicing:You’re counted worthy. It’s privilege, not punishment.

All Three Drive You to Courts and Council

Whether the trial is personal maturity, warfare over purpose, or persecution, all three are great motivations to seek God in Heaven’s Courts and Council.

  • In the Courts: Remove accusations giving the enemy legal access.
James 4:7: “Resist the devil, and he will flee.”
  • In the Council: Receive Living Words—strategy, courage, clarity. The Spirit of Knowledge: “Courage is an impartation that cannot be reproduced in the flesh.”

Paul: “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances” (Phil 4:11). He accessed joy in Heaven first, then brought it to earth.

Sons Are Aggressive, Not Passive

Most Christians think spiritual warfare means defending, enduring, persevering—holding the line. Sons operate differently.

2 Cor 10:3-5: “The weapons we fight with have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God.”

Notice: demolish, take captive. This isn’t defensive.

Sons follow the Lamb using weapons that work:

  • Courts remove the enemy’s legal access
  • Council downloads Living Words that become Greater Works
  • Intercession is proactive spiritual intervention that paves the way for results on Earth.

You see the victory in the Council before it occurs on earth. Then you co-labor to establish it.

Rejoicing Over Redemption

Rom 8:28 – In all things God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.

God doesn’t send “all things”—He works them for good for those in sonship co-laboring with Him. This is why rejoicing becomes natural:

  • Trials mature you: You rejoice seeing the oak Father is producing
  • Warfare targets your purpose: The enemy only attacks what threatens him
  • Persecution for Jesus’ name: You’re counted worthy to share His sufferings

You see Father’s redemption at work. And you see it in the Council before it manifests on earth.

Seeing Victory Before It Happens

When you ascend to the Council, you see the outcome. Jesus is redeeming garments of heaviness.

Isa 61:3: crown of beauty instead of ashes, oil of joy instead of mourning.

In the Council, you see the maturity, reformation, glory, and victory in Father’s Purpose and Strategy. Then you implement it—demolish strongholds, speak Living Words, and watch Father confirm them.

The Pattern for All Resistance

Whether the trial is maturing you, warfare over your assignment, or persecution for Jesus:

  1. Go to the Courts to remove accusations and demolish strongholds
  2. Ascend to the Council and have the conversations to see what Father is doing
  3. Bring Living Words back that transform ashes into beauty
  4. Implement them aggressively using weapons that demolish strongholds defended by arguments and pretensions (2Cor 10:3-5)
  5. Rejoice in the redemption you see coming in the Council and on Earth

Sons are not victims barely surviving. We are overcomers who see victory, co-labor with Father, and rejoice in the redemptive pattern.

  • Every trial—whether maturing you, protecting your purpose, or marking you worthy to suffer for Jesus—produces fruit that leads to rejoicing when you see how Father redeems it.
  • Sons don’t just endure. They demolish. They don’t just survive. They overcome. They don’t wait passively. They co-labor aggressively. They turn the lights on and watch the darkness flee. They release the Spirit of Truth that is alive and active and needs no defense or support.
  • Sons Rejoice—because they’ve seen in the Council what Father is producing, and they feel like oaks of righteousness on the same page with Father (Isa 61:3). They experience the victory, the glory, the display of His Splendor is exactly what He intended all along. Sons have connected hearts – with themselves, with Father, and with their tribe.

Isa 61:3b – They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
