Entrepreneurs take pride in their independent decision making. Kingdom businesspeople take delight in doing what Father is doing. It makes their business Flow… toward an engaged staff, a creative culture, and a stronger business model.

There are four options for making decisions:

#1).  What I want (human reasoning)

#2).  What an authority figure told me (what they want)

#3).  What the Spirit of Truth is saying on earth (His anointing, prompting, crumbs, hunches)

#4).  What Father is saying in the Council (His Purpose, view of 7 Spirits)

We’ve all experienced a few trainwrecks with the first two. It sounds good and seems right, but…

Pro 14:12 – There is a way which seems right to a person, But its end is the way of death.

We’ve also had charismatic hunches and promptings (#3) that we acted on and failed… that left us feeling disappointed in our ability to hear God… or confused by the miscue. Promptings are best interpreted in the context of Father’s purpose coming from conversations in the Council.

The Council – This Kingdom age is bringing a fourth dimension to decision making, the Council. Seeing Father’s purpose for us puts the first three options in a context that makes sense of our story (past, present, and future).

Seers and Doers keep their eyes on two things, and they do it in God’s Council:

• Hearing what Father is saying (Jn 12:49)
  Our bread is hearing Father’s words (Mt 4:4)
• Seeing what Father is doing (Jn 5:19)
  Our meat is doing the will of him who sent us (Jn 4:34)

Sons are the Watchers that all creation has been waiting for, who see what’s going on in heaven and bring Heaven to Earth.

• Strategies are dynamic, changing
• Father’s mercies and manna are new every day

As sons, we make decisions and decrees from our seat in heaven. We’re aware of: 1) our broader calling, 2) the daily course corrections, and 3) how to apply Father’s purpose in our Business.

Ps 84:7 – They go from strength to strength,
Every one of them appears before God in Zion (the Council).

Let’s not get fooled (again!) – We’ve all been taken by a faulty course of our own choosing or by a deception sold or imposed on us by someone else. It hurts emotionally and financially! There are spiritual and natural adversaries in life that are intentionally trying to deceive us. John addressed that scenario with some practical business advice:

1Jn 2:26 – These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you.
27)   as for you, the anointing which you received from Him remains in you,
  and you have no need for anyone to teach you;
  but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie,
   and just as it has taught you, you remain in Him. (in the Council)

Jn 14:26 – But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name,
He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you.

We do listen to people, authorities, and the desires of our own hearts. But we don’t assume any of it it’s correct! The Holy Spirit is our bread of life who teaches us all things. It’s business wisdom to give Him an opportunity to weigh in on our decisions in all things! The phrase remain in Him is pointing to our presence in the Council, in Christ. The safety we have in a multitude of counselors is a reference to God’s Council, not just our friends.

3 ways to make decisions:

#1).  Calling, Life Purpose
Conversations in the Council with Father, Jesus, and the 7 Spirits pull the curtain back on what He is doing and what we are being invited to do with Him. For example, right now He’s exposing and cleaning up the cabal around the world and setting the stage for a Reformation of Nations. We each carry an opportunity to volunteer for our part in Father’s strategy to cleanse the 7 cultural mountains and bless communities and Nations.

Destiny is two things: 1) Father preparing us in advance (Eph 2:10), and 2) us choosing to co-labor with Him in the present. We choose and are chosen at the same time! It takes some seeking and conversations to get clarity on our Kingdom Business Purpose. Clear purpose is possible for every one of us. Clarity of purpose frames the decisions we make in a much simpler context. It’s not that hard to make wise choices when you know where you’re going and why.

#2).  Daily Bread
The second thing about Kingdom Business Purpose is that it’s dynamic. Business and life are all about the prophetic agility to make course corrections and keep in step with the Spirit (Gal 5:25). The flexibility to have a clear purpose, yet follow the lamb wherever, is a big part of sonship. We trust our Father to lead us to our inheritance when we don’t see every detail of the future. We’re clear on purpose and direction while we’re listening carefully for strategy and tactics to get there. That is the genius of sons and daughters being present in Father’s Council. Our daily bread is the life that comes from hearing every word (Mt 4:4), every day.

#3).  Implementing Purpose in Business (Flow)
There really is a peace that passes understanding in the realm of co-laboring with Father’s purpose. Results Flow like rivers of living water from Father’s blessings on our business that are tangible and exciting. Kingdom business is intentionally cooperating with Father’s purpose. We are the open gates that let the King of Glory into the earth and into our business (Ps 24:7). We are each portals of His glory capable of greater works. The clarity on our prophetic purpose from the council is the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for the Resources of Heaven that Father wants to release on our business.

Our business already has everything I can do to make it work.

Now we’re adding everything Father can do, intentionally!

Cutting Room Floor

When I first got saved in 1970, the rapture was all the rage, and I totally embraced it along with much of the church world at the time. Since then, it’s become apparent that the doctrinal foundation for that version of dispensational eschatology (the Schofield Reference Bible) is totally false. It even appears to have been intentionally planted to deceive believers and neutralize their influence on society. Even to this day many believers don’t bother to vote because they believe our nation and the world is destined for tribulation and destruction while they get raptured up to heaven at Jesus second coming. Why bother to vote? Why bother to start a business?

This is an excerpt from a recent council. I have no energy on the rapture, but I do wonder about all the verses we misapplied in the past. Here is a synopsis of what came from the Council. For me, it integrated the Council with all the old rapture verses that I had just left alone for decades. A light came on and I thought you might enjoy it as well.
