Between Afghanistan, fake news, covid, election fraud, and employment threats, everyone’s heads are spinning. If cable news is accurate, it’s probably accidental. The internet is a mix of truth, half-truth, and junk. Father, show how to reign over all this deception? I asked, and He answered:

Rev 12:11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.  NIV

Rev 14:4-5These are those who… follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.  NIV

  1. The blood of the Lamb – It always starts with freedom from accusations from the enemy. Sometimes we have opened a door for the enemy, and repentance is the answer. Sometimes the open door is in our family line and the Courts of Heaven is the answer. Either way, we know what to do with accusations; agree with our adversary and take them to the cross! His blood keeps us in Purity of heart.
  2. The word of their Testimony – The sword we carry is our calling. We each have a book or an assignment, and when we stay in that sweet spot, things work. I like Rev. 19:10, The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Jesus is the one who ever lives to make intercession for the saints. He praying for our Book or Purpose, and we’re invited to bring it to earth. Sons bring Heaven to Earth; they speak things into existence and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty in the fray. They are warriors.
  3. Loved not their lives unto death – We usually think of martyrdom when we hear this phrase. It’s living in a way that accommodates deaths and resurrections. Believers don’t multiply until they are planted and die, and then they produce many seeds (Jn 12:24). Like Jesus, we have the authority to lay our lives down and pick them up again in resurrection (Jn 10:17-18). We choose to lay our lives down, and we choose to pick them up again. Even if things don’t turn out like we first expected, we know God will intervene, and another door will open to something even better (Rom 8:28). We are not surprised by fiery trials yet will still expect our story to end well. We can go to the council as often as we want to get a picture of what Father is doing. Sons are not afraid of death, real or metaphorical. In fact, we expect it! We serve a purpose (book) and a person (Jesus) that is much bigger than us. We, and our definitions of success, don’t have to survive. We gladly abandon them in for something even better from a watchful and loving Father!
  4. Follow the Lamb wherever – Sons have dreams and plans and plenty of desires in their hearts, but they most love doing what the Father is doing, just like Jesus did (John 5:19). We can be fishing, and when Jesus shows up, we can jump in the water and swim to shore. We live by every word that proceeds out of His mouth, and we treasure His purpose that is unveiled in the council. Sons never mistake programs and projects for purpose. They can lead great initiatives and do great exploits, but it’s always because they can see their Father doing them in heaven. Following the Lamb from a heart of Love is what makes them tick.

Our nation and our personal lives are at risk right now. The awakening is beginning, yet many are still asleep. We all ask, Where is God in all this? The enemy will be revealed and overthrown; Jesus will be revealed and enthroned. It’s just a question of timing. With that settled (WE WIN), we can all get back to the battle with these four ingredients of those who reign: purity, purpose, passion, and love. Sons know exactly where God is and what He is doing. Love is out it all works. Listen to Prisoner by Don Potter to catch the spirit of why in Love.

The lifestyle of sonship is exciting, traumatic, meaningful, and filled with passion. There is no other way to live. It’s too much fun to be in the Father’s presence in heaven and do His works on earth, even if the ride is a little bumpy. It thrills our hearts to see His look and hear Him say, Well Done.

Luke 10:19-20 – I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.  NIV
