Release the Lion:
Sons Who Hear, Co-Labor, and Contend
in the Courts and Council of Heaven
“The truth is like a lion. You do not need to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.” — Augustine
Truth does not need your defense. It needs you to co-labor with Him, the Spirit of Truth – He’s Alive!
(Video) Most believers read Augustine’s famous saying as a call to confidence. Mature sons read it as a call to war. Because the Lion does not wander out on its own, a son is the conduit. He must hear which Word Father is speaking in this moment, step into co-labor with it, and release it with the authority of someone who has stood in the Council of Heaven and received a living commission. Not a theological argument. Not a polished rebuttal. A Living Word that carries the weight of eternity itself. See our God is not an idea, a theory, or a theology, He speaks, does stuff, and loves His sons and daughters so much that He talks to them and does stuff with them.
Truth is not fragile. It doesn’t need to be propped up, shielded, or won through debate. It is propagated by Sons in the Courts and Council via Ascending and Descending (Jn 1:51). Truth is a light that sons can turn on to make the darkness flee. Truth can make you free. The Spirit of Truth is not a static idea!
- Sons ascend with Accusations to the Courts of Heaven for judgement, redemption
- And descend with Decrees that replace them with Living Words from Father, the Spirit of Truth
2Cor 10:3 – For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4) Â Â The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5)  We demolish arguments and every pretension    (How? – Sons in the Courts & Council)
that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,
and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

The Problem: Defending What Was Never Fragile
Too many believers spend their lives defending intellectual truth rather than releasing the power of Living Words. They study Scripture to win arguments and preach sermons. They prepare rebuttals. They polish positions. And in doing so, they treat the written Word of God like a museum artifact, something fragile, their precious viewpoint that needs careful explanation and protection from critics.
But the Living Word is not an artifact. It is a Lion. Hebrews 4:12 does not say the Word was sharp. It says it is (present tense) “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.” Right now. Cutting through the arguments of the adversary before you even open your mouth. Isaiah 55:11 makes it plain: the Word that goes out from Father’s mouth will not return empty; it will accomplish exactly what He purposed. The question is never whether the Word has power. The question is whether sons have ascended to Heaven’s Courts and Council to receive, release, and relate to it.

Ascending and Descending: The Sonship Pattern for War
John 1:51 gives us the operational blueprint. Jesus tells Nathanael he will see angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man. This is not poetic imagery; it is the architecture of Kingdom advancement.
- Sons ascend with the accusations, the arguments, and the strongholds that stand against the knowledge of God. They bring them into the Courts of Heaven for judgment and redemption.
- Then they descend carrying Living Words (decrees from Father) that replace those accusations with Father’s Kingdom Purpose and the authority that comes with the Spirit of Truth.
This is how sons wage war. Paul names it precisely in 2 Corinthians 10:Â “We do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God.”
Notice what Paul does not say. He does not say we out-argue strongholds. He does not say we out-debate pretensions. He says we demolish them with weapons that carry divine power. Those weapons are Living Words received from the Council, spoken from a position of Sonship, decreed from a place of co-laboring with the Spirit of Truth.

The Spirit of Truth Needs No Backup
Acts 6:7 records something remarkable: the word of God continued to increase. Stephen’s opponents “could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.” They didn’t lose a debate. They encountered something they had no category for — a son carrying a living Word, and a Spirit of Truth that cannot be refuted.
This is why Paul deliberately refused eloquence. In 1 Corinthians 2, he came “not with superiority of speech or wisdom” — trusting not his rhetoric but the Spirit’s demonstration. His confidence was never in his argument. It was in the inherent power of the Living Word itself. Romans 1:16 captures his entire posture: “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God.” The power was in the Word. His job was to carry it.

The Truth is Like a Lion (Cutting Room Floor)
The truth is like a lion. You do not need to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself. (Augustine)
The Spirit of Truth doesn’t need to be defended, and it cannot be refuted.
Acts 6:7 – But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.
Truth is not fragile. It doesn’t need to be propped up, shielded, or won through debate. It is propagated by Sons in the Courts and Council via Ascending and Descending (Jn 1:51).

🔥 The Word is Alive and Self-Sustaining
Hebrews 4:12 — “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword…” The Word doesn’t need defending or debate; it is itself a weapon.
Isaiah 55:11 — “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose.”Â
Lu 5:5 – Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.
🔥 Truth Cannot Be Contained or Defeated
Jeremiah 20:9 — “…there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot.” Truth has an internal force that breaks free regardless.
2Tim 2:9 — “…the word of God is not bound.” Even when Paul was in chains, he noted that the Word itself was never imprisoned.
🔥 The Nature of Truth to Produce Fruit and Multiply
Mark 4:26–29 — A man scatters seed and sleeps; “the earth produces by itself.” The Kingdom truth grows by its own life principle, not by constant human management.
John 16:13 — “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.” The Holy Spirit is the ultimate advocate and defender of truth — not us.
Acts 6:7 – And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith.
Acts 12:24 – But the word of God increased and multiplied.
🔥 Sons decree Living Words; Father Adds with Signs Following
Romans 1:16 — “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation…” Paul’s confidence wasn’t in his rhetoric but in the inherent power of Living Words.
1 Corinthians 2:1–4 — Paul deliberately came “not with eloquence or human wisdom” — trusting the Spirit’s demonstration over clever defense.
