Why Your Salvation Includes a Seat at the Table

Video Intro and PDF Version – Most Christians understand being “in Christ” as a position of salvation; that we are forgiven, justified, and adopted is all true. But here’s what we miss: “in Christ” isn’t just a theological status. It’s an actual location. And that location changes everything about how you run your business. Sons have Christ indwelling in them, but they are also in Christ, ascending to God’s Council for conversations with Father, Jesus, and the 7 Spirits.

We’re connecting being “in Christ” and being “in the Council” using the following concepts and verses:

  • Each one appears before God in Zion (Ps 84:1-7)
  • Give you the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven (Mt 16:19, Isa 22:22)
  • In Jesus Name (Mk 16:17, Lu 10:17, Jn 14:26, Jn 15:16)
  • Remain in me and I in you (Jesus) (Jn 15:4-9, 1Jn 3:24)
  • Seated with Christ in Heavenly Places (Eph 2:6)
  • Prepare a place for you (Jn 14:2-3)
  • Co-laborers and Co-heirs with Christ (1Cor 3:9, Rom 8:17)
  • Called according to His purpose Rom (8:28-29)
  • Take up your cross and follow (Mt 16:24-25)

You’re Already Seated in Heavenly Places

Eph 2:6 doesn’t say you WILL BE seated in heavenly places someday. It says you ARE seated there right now:

Eph 2:6 – and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus

Present tense. Already accomplished. You have a seat at the table—Heaven’s Council table—right now. Not because you earned it through spiritual maturity, but because you’re in Christ. Your salvation package included Council access. Your seat is reserved, you should have to ascend and occupy it intentionally!

This is what Jesus meant in Jn 14:2-3: “I go to prepare a place for you… that where I am, you may be also.” He didn’t just prepare heaven as your future residence after you die. He prepared a PLACE for you in the Council NOW!—where He is, where He (and you) see what Father is doing, where strategy originates.

Remaining “In Me” = Remaining in the Council

Jesus uses the “remain in me” language repeatedly in John 15:4-9. Seven times He says it. Why? Because remaining in Christ isn’t passive, it’s active ascension to the source of strategy, anointing, and fruit in the Council.

Jn 1:51 – Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened
and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.

Jn 15:4 – Remain in Me, and I in you.
Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself but must remain in the vine,
so neither
can you unless you remain in Me.

How does a branch “remain” in the vine? By staying connected to the source of life and nutrients. How do sons remain in Christ? By ascending to the Council where He is, receiving Living Words, getting prophetic strategy for their business and bringing Heaven to Earth in Reformation.

This isn’t mysticism – it’s the normal Christian life. You can’t bear fruit disconnected from the vine. You can’t build Kingdom business disconnected from the Council. Remaining in Christ MEANS maintaining active Council connection and conversations.

Operating “In His Name” = Council Authority

When Jesus says we operate “in His name,” He’s not talking about a magic phrase at the end of prayers. He’s talking about ambassadorial authority—representing His interests from His position.

  • Mark 16:17 – “In my name they will drive out demons” (spiritual authority)
  • Luke 10:17 – Disciples rejoicing that demons submit “in Your name” (delegated power)
  • John 14:26 – “The Holy Spirit… will teach you all things” (Council instruction)
  • John 15:16 – “Whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you” (aligned requests)

Operating “in His name” means you’re connected to the source of authority—the Council. Prayer is no longer offering up your laundry list of wishes from earth hoping heaven hears. You’re seated in heavenly places, seeing what Father is doing, then bringing that purpose and direction to your business operations.

Your Calling Originates in the Council

Romans 8:28-29 says we’re “called according to His purpose” and “predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son.” But here’s the question: How do you discover what you’re called to do? Where does that revelation come from?

It comes from the Council. From seeing what Father is doing and joining Him in it. From hearing your specific assignment in the reformation of your industry. From receiving Living Words about your business purpose.

You can’t fulfill a calling you haven’t heard. You can’t walk in your purpose if you’re just guessing at it from earth. Your calling is revealed in the Council—where you’re already seated in Christ.

Co-Laboring = Council Partnership

John 5:19 reveals Jesus’ entire business model: “The Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”

Jn 5:19 – Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself;
he can do only what he sees his Father doing,
because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

20)    For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does.
Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.

This is co-laboring: See what Father is doing (in the Council), then do it on earth. Not coming up with your own plans and asking God to bless them. Not operating independently then hoping for anointing. But actual partnership—seeing in heaven and doing on earth.

This is why Jesus promised greater works (John 14:12). Not because we’re more talented than He was, but because we’re connected to the same source. We access the same Council. We co-labor with the same Father. We operate from the same heavenly seat.

Taking Up Your Cross = Daily Ascension

Mt 16:24 – Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
25)
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

What does it mean to “take up your cross daily”? It means dying to intellectual independence. Dying to self-generated business plans. Dying to the need to figure everything out from human wisdom.

It means ascending to the Council every day. Laying down your agenda. Asking “What are You doing, Father?” instead of announcing “Here’s what I’m doing, God.” It’s the daily discipline of remaining in Christ by remaining in the Council.

This is the cross of sonship: surrendering your independence to discover His purpose. And in that surrender, you find your life—your true calling, your actual assignment, your authentic business purpose, and the thrill of engaging in the victories that go with the Reformation of People, Businesses, Cities, and Nations.

The Practical Bottom Line

If you’re in Christ, you have a seat in the Council. It’s not something you earn through spiritual maturity. It’s not reserved for super-saints or full-time ministers. It’s included in your salvation package because you’re in Christ.

The question isn’t “Can I access the Council?” The question is “Am I using the access I already have?” “Am I ascending and having the conversations, getting them in writing?”

What This Means for Your Business:

You don’t need to figure out your business strategy alone. You can see what Father is doing in your industry. Businesspeople are sustained by daily bread, Living Words (Mt 4:4) .

You don’t operate on guesswork and best practices. You receive Living Words and prophetic strategy.

You don’t build from human ambition. You co-labor with Father on what He’s already building.

You don’t offer your laundry list of wishes hoping heaven hears. You operate from your seat in heavenly places with actual authority because you’ve had conversations around what Father is doing.

You don’t fund “real ministry” with your profits. Your business IS ministry—reformation happening through Council-guided operations.

You don’t carry the burden alone. You remain in Christ, connected to the source of anointing and fruit.

You don’t guess at your calling. You hear it directly in the Council where you’re already seated.

The Invitation

Stop treating “in Christ” as merely a theological position. Start experiencing it as actual location.

Your seat at the Council table is waiting. Jesus prepared a place for you there. The Holy Spirit is ready to teach you all things. Father wants to show you what He’s doing in your industry.

Remain in Him. Ascend to the Council. Receive your assignment. Co-labor on greater works.

That’s not mysticism. That’s the normal Christian business life.

Because “in Christ” means “in the Council.”
And in the Council is where sons receive strategy to reform nations.
