The amazing dynamic of sonship is co-laboring—learning to release what Father adds. Sons are learning the power of flowing with Kingdom Purpose and overflowing with an anointing to bring Heaven to earth.

What is flow? There is an engineering principle of cooperating with nature so that energy or fruit is produced and our environment works for us, not against us. For example, planting seeds leads to free fruit. Building dams leads to free electricity and free irrigation water. God’s Kingdom is like the garden of Eden – it produces naturally; we eat for free because our Father provides for us if we can plant.

Mk 4:26 – This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground.
27)
Ā Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows,
though he does not know how.
28) Ā
all by itself the soil produces grain

So how do we learn to live in flow ourselves and teach others? It’s all about cooperating with Kingdom Purpose to release what Father can add to our lives instead of placing our trust in how hard we work, how hard we try, or how persistent we are.

#1).Ā  Plant love with Living Words

Flow starts when we learn to leverage love. We all feel loved when we are prophetically known, practically supported, and publicly celebrated. Discipleship starts when we can prophetically touch the purpose God has written in the hearts of people. It’s the act of planting good seed (Living Words) in good soil (hungry hearts) so that all by itself the soil produces. We’re putting people in touch with their own prophetic motivation. We’re connecting them with their Father, not just relationally but practically in the sense of co-laboring with Him. It’s one thing to be a Christian and know God; it’s another level to see the Kingdom and co-labor with Him to experience the fruit. The treasure we store in Heaven is people (Sons and Daughters).

2Cor 3:2 – You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men

#2).Ā  Water the Soil

Dry soil needs Living Water to grow the seed. We’re all ā€œwateredā€ when we experience the presence of God and witness His power. The branches are nourished when they are connected to the vine, Jesus. The second stage of discipleship is experiencing what it’s like to be in the river of life; being carried by a much larger Kingdom purpose. It’s the feeling of outside energy; that Kingdom has flow and not everything is the result of my works. We do work and have a work ethic, but it’s obvious that Father is multiplying the result. It feels like we’re soaring on eagle’s wings.

Isa 40:31 – but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
                        they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
                        they shall run and not be weary;
                        they shall walk and not faint.

#3). Following Purpose

The third stage is knowing enough about my own purpose to begin to co-labor with Father to make it happen. We’ve been watching so far, but now there is the revelation that our work is worship and we, sons and daughters, are destined to do something great with our Father. Before, we were led and shown, but now we volunteer and take initiative because we’re getting clarity, confidence, and courage from our purpose. We’re learning to leverage what Father is doing. Our eyes are on Him. Co-laboring is the Jn 5:19 step of doing only what we see Father doing. Now I’m learning:

  • The Kairos timing of keeping in step with Father (Gal 5:25)
  • I’m seeing the confirmation of miraculous signs following (Jn 14:12)
  • I can hear Father say Well Done! I can feel the promotion to more opportunities (Mt 25:21)
  • I’ve experienced helping people who love us back. Kingdom culture is fun! (Jn 15:17)

#4).Ā  Fulfilling Purpose

I can see Father’s purpose in Reformation on many levels, and I have the revelation that it’s not about me. I can feel the connection with Father’s flow and initiative even during the warfare. I can be in plenty or in want. I can experience victories and breakthroughs or setbacks and delays. It can happen suddenly or require patience and endurance. It’s okay because…

Summary – My source of Living Water is His Council—not the work, and not even the results. I am ignited by what Father is doing, and as a son, I’m always volunteering, Here am I, Lord, send me! Even if it’s hard, I am always overflowing, overcoming, more than conquering—because I’m carried, flowing, on eagle’s wings, doing what my Father is doing. That connection and those conversations are enough. Co-laboring has taken me from flowing to overflowing. Sons release what their Father can add (Mt 6:33).

Remember – Kingdom flow isn’t from us, and it isn’t for us—it’s through us, for others. Father is the source of flow, provisions, and results. It comes through us as sons and daughters, but it’s for others. There will be plenty for you and me. The irony is that if you focus on flow for yourself, it will stop!
