We took a week-long 2200-mile road trip through beautiful parts of Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. I was totally immersed in the scenery, history, and a nephew’s wedding. The whole experience gave me a fresh perspective on what’s important in Father’s heart right now.

What is Father’s top priority?   What is yours?   What does putting Kingdom 1^st mean to you?

1. Evangelism, salvation, baptism, revival, healing, Church, Home groups, fellowship?
2. Jesus’ second coming, wars & rumors of war, Israel, the coming apocalypse, tribulation?
3. My personal happiness, God’s blessing on my finances, family, vocation, and ministry?

The religious community is famous for chasing theological rabbits and missing the forest for the trees. The most educated religious leaders of Jesus’ day missed the Messiah and the fruit of the Kingdom! We’re surprisingly vulnerable to do the same thing today – substitute religion for the purpose in Father’s heart!

Mt 21:43 – The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing out its fruits.
Jn 8:44 – You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires.

Here’s the backdrop: (MIchael Heiser’s book, The Unseen Realm is a good theological treatise for these points).

#1).  The Divine Council – is a heavenly assembly of thesons of God, watchers and overseers who participate with God in governing creation (Psalm 82, 84:7, Rom 8:19,29, Heb 2:11-12). This Council helps frame a relational Council for God’s government, not a solitary sovereign but a Father leading a family. The original Divine Council are the sons who fell in Genesis 6 and fathered the Nephilim who resisted God as giants in the land “and” are now powers and principalities over nations.

#2).  Nations – Nations were disinherited by God at Babel (Deut. 32:8-9 ESV) and placed under lesser Elohim (fallen sons of Gen 6 who had rebelled). The Tribe of Jacob, later Israel was chosen to be God’s inheritance, through whom He wanted to reclaim the nations, but Israel ultimately refused.

Deut. 32:8 – When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind,
he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.
9)   But the LORD’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage.

#3).  Redemption – Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection are part of God’s plan to repopulate His Council and redeem the nations, starting with His Ecclesia (sons of God, Mt 16:16-19). All creation and all people) have been groaning, waiting for these sons of God to show up and bring heaven to earth. It’s us!

#4).  Sonship – Believers are not just passive recipients of salvation but are drawn into the cosmic conflict and the resulting victory, called to participate in restoring creation under Jesus’ Lordship (Rom 8:19).

#5).  The Spiritual Realm is Real – Angels, demons, principalities, and powers are not metaphors—they are active, and understanding their roles is essential for understanding Scripture, your Kingdom purpose, and the level of warfare to build the Kingdom. Sons are learning to co-labor with Father to redeem People, Businesses, Cities and Nations.

Three Priorities on Father’s Heart:

Sonship – When and how Jesus returns isn’t nearly as important to Father as how His sons show up to repopulate His Council right now (Jn 1:51). Sons are practically and proactively shaping culture and our future in the present tense. Our heritage is the nations! (Ps 2:8)

Ascension – Sons are ascending and descending from Heaven right now to bring Heaven to Earth. They are present in their seat for conversations with Father, Jesus, and the 7 Spirits; the 7 lamps who light our path (Ps 119:105, Rev 4:5). They are fluent in the Courts of Heaven. They can refute demonic accusations legally, release Father’s decrees, and prevail in spiritual warfare. They can see what Father is doing in heaven and do it with Him on earth – greater works.

Reformation – Restoring people and nations who have been deceived and stolen is a central theme in Father’s heart. People, Businesses, Cities, and Nations are being invited (redeemed) into Kingdom purpose that is practical, blessing in every facet of world cultures. It’s an invitation to a banquet that sons don’t want to miss… because it’s fun and fulfilling. We are designed for heroism.

On a Personal Level

One of the big theological shifts as a prior paster was that I thought the foundation for God’s guidance and theology was an intellectual approach to the Bible. I put a lot of weight on my Bible College degrees and my wealth of Biblical knowledge. Then, through the Council sessions, I slowly awakened to Jesus as the word of God (Jn 1:1, 12).  Conversations in the Council with Father, Jesus, and the 7 Spirits are the spring of Living Words that flow from the throne (Rev 22:1); the living water that originates from the throne and flows out of our hearts to prophetically bless others (Jn 7:38).

The Holy Spirit still prompts me (as in the writing of these paragraphs), but it’s always a leading to get the full conversation in the Council (the content of these paragraphs). We’re not abandoning the written word (the Bible) for the Living Word (Jesus), they are seamless and complimentary expressions of Spirit and Truth… and it works in business!

Two practical points:

#1)  Guidance via Conversations in the Council can always be confirmed by principles in the Bible,
#2)  But Bible principles intellectually translated to values are more human opinion than guidance.
#1 Is Living Words from Heaven; #2 is religion from the minds of men.

From the USA Book – Father’s Call on the United States

Gen. 12:2-3 – I will make you into a great nation… all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

Deut 32:8 – When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance

Ps 2:8 – Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance

Ps 72:11 – all kings will fall down before You; All nations shall serve You.

Ps 82:8-9 – Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.

Ps 86:9 – All the nations you have made will come and worship before you…
they will bring glory to your name.
