These are raging times of confusion and change, yet there is clearly an awakening to what Father is doing that leads us beside still waters. Jesus and the early church faced the same and have a simple approach, He could see that His Father was always working and co-labored with what His Father was doing. Our theological view of our Father is that His character is the same, yesterday, and forever, but His mercies and manna are new every day. The cloud moves and we move with it!
Jn 5:17 – “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”
19)Â Â For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
Acts 17:28 – For in him we live and move and have our being.
As some of your own poets have said, We are his offspring.
Gal 5:25 – Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Sonship implies a certain spiritual agility to keep up. We are following the lamb withersoever (Rev 14:4), all the time. It’s a trademark of sonship. The religious spirit tends to defend the old wineskin, whereas sonship has an ingredient of tasting the new, seeing the new, and flowing with the new. These changes are not sacrifices, the new is always better than the old. The new covenant is far superior to the old and so is each new chapter in our experience of following Jesus.
What’s new? – There are number of broad shifts happening in the Kingdom right now that touch each one of us. We’ll link a longer video discussion these in more detail, but here’s the outline:
Intentional Reformation – is probably the biggest change. We’re not waiting for the rapture, we’re moving from Self-Improvement to Sonship, and we can see Reformation of Nations. Sons and daughters in the Kingdom are bringing heaven to earth. They are the instruments God has chosen to win this war and speak to the raging turmoil and tell the storm to stop.
The implication of sonship is that Jesus calls us brothers and Father calls us sons. Greater works is an assignment, not a theory. We each carry a unique purpose that is instrumental in this transformation of people, businesses, Cities, and Nations. We no longer look in the mirror and see sheep and servants, we see kings reflecting the glory of the King of kings. We are not stewards of this earth, we are owners; it’s our inheritance to multiply and bless.
Ps 115:16 – The heavens are the heavens of the LORD, But the earth He has given to the sons of men.
Ps 2:8 – Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
Mt 5:5 – Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Lu 12:31 – But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
32) Â “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
Senses exercised to discern – This is exactly the season for discernment; not the intellectual assessment of all the confusion, but Father’s revelation of what’s happening behind the outward appearances. As spiritual Fathers, we are not teaching and preaching all this to our disciples; we are showing them how to see and hear Fathers movements and voice themselves. What Father is doing doesn’t lend itself to narration. Sons need their own ticket to see it for themselves.
Jesus bought that ticket for us. His atonement gave sons and daughters access to Father, to the Courts and Council of Heaven. We have had access to His presence, but now we have access to His works. Sonship is an invitation to co-labor with our Father; to do what He is doing. We find out what that is via ascension to His house. We are the angels ascending and descending to bring Heaven to earth. Sons see an open heaven and the invitation to come up here.
Jn 1:51 – Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open,
and the angels (messengers) of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.
Impact on Business – Your business has a Kingdom purpose. Neither you nor I know what that is, nor do we know the dynamics of how it will move in the future. The kingdom shift to sonship is having access to conversations in the Council and a seer gift to observe what Father is doing. Nothing about the kingdom is predictable or knowable, it’s all relational and conversational. It’s new every day. Agility is a way of life for sons that leads to blessing, even if it goes through a few valleys first. We know our Father wins. We know He’s always at work, inviting us to co-labor. We know Reformation of Nations is in His heart. We know our place, in Him and in the Council. Sons are overseers, watching over the earth, reigning with Jesus to bless nations.
2Tim 2:11 – Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him;
12)Â Â if we endure, we will also reign with him.

“See” what in Christ means = in the Council (see #2 in graphic)
- Jn 6:56 – Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
- Jn 12:26 – whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am my servant will also be
- Jn 14:3 – And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. - Jn 14:20 – On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
- Jn 15:4 – Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself;
it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5)Â Â I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing.
6) Â Â Â If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers;
such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
7) Â Â Â If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. - Jn 17:21 – Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us
- Rom 8:1 – Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
- 2Cor 5:17 – if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
- 2Cor 12:2 – I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven.
- Gal 3:26 – So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith
- Col 3:1 – Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is,
seated at the right hand of God.
2)Â Â Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3)  For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. - 1Jn 2:28 – And now, dear children, continue in him
- 1Jn 3:24 – The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them.
- 1Jn 4:13 – This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- 1Jn 4:15 – God lives in them and they in God.
16) Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. - 1Jn 5:20 – And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ.
