If your purpose adds value, then people, money, and God’s favor will come and help you!

Businesspeople are often “too busy” to nail their prophetic purpose. Their leadership is not particularly inspiring, and they are prone to rely on personal authority to motivate people. They elevate the virtues of service, surrender, submission, and obedience and wonder why managing people feel like herding cats through a minefield! For the purpose of this blog we are using these definitions:

  • Leaders – love people and manage purpose (Sons)
  • Managers – love purpose and manage people (Servants)

The answer is simple – people always do what they want to do. God wired us to follow the desires He wrote in our hearts. We all have stories intertwined with Kingdom purpose. Real leaders can hear those desires and cooperate with them instead of defying them. Task-focused managers are typically tone-deaf to what makes their people tick. They seldom understand turnover or that they might be the sponsors of it!

The prophetic purpose that real leaders carry is inspiring. They invite people into initiative, creativity, and contribution and realize those are the self-expressions people want to give the team.

  • Task managers are prone to view people needing their leadership because they are carnal, lazy, mysterious, and beneath them. Compliance vs. non-compliance is their main paradigm (saint vs. sinner). They deal with problems but seldom see them coming. The company where I work as an engineer had a 20% turnover in 2021!!!
  • Leaders invite their staff into a shared Kingdom purpose. They make a conscious effort to learn and discern what is written in their hearts and cooperate with it instead of fixing it.

People want to be found, not fixed.
The purposes of a man’s heart are deep waters,
but a man of understanding draws them out. Prov 20:5

Leaders realize that rebellion and contribution are two sides of the same coin. They value people with initiative and creativity, and they reward it. People do go in different directions, but leaders simply promote them into their real calling and celebrate the new. They understand people follow purpose, passion, and their own book (what God wrote in their heart). People are not designed to remain sheep and servants; they are sons! Sheep is one term for the transition from childhood to adulthood.

  • Leaders father more leaders (sons) very naturally in a culture of transparent relationships where everyone knows the other guy’s purpose and motivation. They encourage people to be themselves and inherit their potential and dreams. Their culture celebrates results and eliminates envy. There is competition to “be yourself” and help others to inherit their sweet spot because it builds the team.
  • Task managers naturally create servants, motivational time bombs waiting for a better opportunity that fits their heart. As a result, their appeals to serve, surrender, submit, and obey, begin to sound like self-serving sermons that make people spiritually sleepy.

The Spirit of Tyranny (Leviathan) – We are witnessing an epic overthrow of tyranny around the world. Thank God for truckers and awakening. The same battle happens in business. The spiritual principle is this:

When we dishonor others or ourselves by missing the purpose God wrote in our hearts, we arouse a principality and invite tyranny. It’s the same spirit behind the cabal on the level of nations. It’s also why managers who miss hearts naturally become authoritarian and leave a trail of fractured relationships. They have a trash can for disposable people under the category of insurrection. Lack of purpose becomes resignation on a personal level, termination on a business level, and totalitarianism on a national level. It’s the same spirit of Leviathan who guards the gates of purpose and sponsors divisiveness, dissent, accusations, and back-biting. The devil in general, and Leviathan in particular, have one big goal: to keep you from knowing your purpose and fulfilling your book. Leviathan is the gatekeeper between you and destiny.

Job 3:8May those who curse days curse that day, those who are ready to rouse Leviathan. NIV
Job 41:34He (Leviathan) looks down on all that are haughty; he is king over all that are proud. NIV

Countering Principalities – As sons, we are not fighting with principalities as much as possessing and standing in our land of purpose. Right now, we sons are replacing fallen sons in the Courts and Council of heaven. Our strategy is to see what Father is doing and do it with Him.

  • The Court of heaven is a place to deal with accusations and release books of purpose.
  • The Council is our seat at Father’s table, including the seven spirits (Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge, and Fear of the Lord).

The seven spirits pave the way to a culture of honor; honoring ourselves and others by valuing the purpose Father wrote in our hearts. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom that Releases Books in courts & Council (Isa. 11:3). We’re no longer judging people with our natural eyes and ears. Our seer gift is activated in heaven. Our seat in the Council allows us to hear the strategy of heaven regarding His Kingdom on earth.

  • Sons are speaking in Jesus’ name, the outworking of what we’ve seen in heaven.
  • Sons guard against opening a door to Leviathan via dishonor (Sons open books).

Isa 11:1-4And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

quick understanding OT:7306 ruach OT:7306, “to perceive, enjoy, smell.” Gen 8:21 is the first occurrence: “And the Lord smelled a sweet savor….” The word appears about 14 times.

Prov 9:10-12The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 11 For through me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. 12 If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.” NIV

Prov 19:23 – The fear of the Lord leads to life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble. NIV

Here’s the secret: the fear of the Lord is one of seven personalities or entities in the council, not one of our emotions. We can talk to him!!! He and the other six have something to say to us in the council that has huge benefits.

Cutting Room Floor

Harvard Business Review articleDoing deals doesn’t yield the deep rewards that come from building up people.

The management theory arrays these tools along two dimensions—the extent to which members of the organization agree on what they want from their participation in the enterprise, and the extent to which they agree on what actions will produce the desired results. When there is little agreement on both axes, you have to use “power tools”—coercion, threats, punishment, and so on—to secure cooperation.

Don’t worry about the level of individual prominence you have achieved; worry about the individuals you have helped become better people. This is my final recommendation: Think about the metric by which your life will be judged, and make a resolution to live every day so that in the end, your life will be judged a success.

(More About Leviathan)

Gen 3:14-15 – So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he (the women) will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” NIV

Num 14:9-10 – Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them.” ESV

Ps 74:12-14 – But you, O God, are my king from of old; you bring salvation upon the earth. 13 It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters. 14 It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave him as food to the creatures of the desert. NIV

Job 41:34 – He (Leviathan) looks down on all that are haughty; he is king over all that are proud.” NIV

In combination with the religious spirit, pride is usually masked with false humility (Rev. 3:15-22).

What is the Leviathan Spirit?

Deception. The marine – serpentine Leviathan spirit twists and turns.

  • It twists words (deception, psy ops, e.g. mockingbird media).
  • It turns (pits) people against one another.
  • It counterfeits the true light and fire of God. See Job 41:18-21

Divisiveness. Often called the “spirit of separation”.

  • It drives wedges between God and His people.
  • Creates divisiveness amongst the body of Christ.
  • Shows up as triangulating (subversively involving a third party in an issue), back-biting, bad-mouthing, accusing, fault-finding, and a trouble-maker.

Devious. Stirs up negative, agitated emotions in people.

  • Creates dissent, disharmony and victimhood.

Dragon. It is so fierce, only God can defeat it. We can get delivered of it however!

  • He is a formidable foe as Job 41:12-16 describes him.
  • We cannot ‘bind’ him. We call on God to confine him.

Displays as:

  • Ego, pride, haughtiness, superiority, stiff-necked, stubborn, defensiveness (insufficient self-examination & self-awareness). He is monarch over all the sons of pride. Job 41:34
  • Uses religion or dogma as a weapon to justify these traits and create divisiveness.
  • Resists deliverance. “Who can penetrate his outer armor?” Job 41:13

Maintaining Honor?

the Fallen sons were still given the nations (honored?)

Deut 32:8-9 – When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.

9 But the Lord’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. ESV

Job 3:8 – “Let those curse it who curse the day, Who are prepared to rouse Leviathan. NASU

Job 41:34 – He (Leviathan) looks down on all that are haughty; he is king over all that are proud.” NIV

Luke 10:17-20 – The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” 18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” NIV

Eph 6:10-18 – Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. NIV

2 Peter 2:10-12 – This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings; 11 yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord. NIV

Jude 8-10 – In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings. 9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” 10 Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals — these are the very things that destroy them. NIV

Job 41:8 – If you lay a hand on him, you will remember the struggle and never do it again! NIV

1 Peter 2:13 – Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king. NASU

Slander G989 blasphemeo – to vilify, speak impiously (to speak on our own instead of in Jesus’ name)

1 Tim 1:18-20 – Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight, 19 holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith. 20 Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme. NIV

Honor maintains a spirit of peace (what sons do – Honor sees calling, heart, election, Books). Honor makes room for a man’s gift.

Matt 5:9 – Blessed are the peacemakers, for they be called sons of God. NIV
