One of the interesting things about sons who frequent and become fluent in the courts and council of heaven is that they become co-labors in Father’s purposes. We are not just Seers, we are Seers and Doers who bring Heaven to earth. Jesus paved the way for sons and He’s not ashamed to call us brothers (Heb 2:19). The reason we’re family isn’t to take tours of heaven or to put on airs of spirituality. It’s to do what the Father is doing and make a difference on earth!
Co-labor (Sunergeo) has four simple, yet profound implications. It’s not garden variety obedience. Co-laboring comes from a heart that wants to. Our own heart’s desires happen to be the same as our Father’s. External obedience is the blood of bulls and goats; a sacrifice the Father is not asking for. Sons are men and women after God’s own heart who volunteer because it’s their dream too. 1 Sam 13:14, Acts 13:22
#1. We work with Father.
2 Cor 5:20-6:2 – We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal (parakaleo) through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness (equity of character or act) of God. As God’s fellow workers (sunergeo) we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. 2 For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. Jesus did what he saw the Father doing. So do we! We’re cooperating and collaborating with the Holy Spirit, the Comforter (Parakletos) in John 14:16, 26, 15:26, and 16:7. Parakaleo is the verb from. We comfort people
#2. Father works with us.
Mark 16:20 – Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. NIV
#3. Circumstances work with us.
Rom 8:28-29 – And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. NASU
#4. We’re Integral – We stop the sabotage and we work with ourselves.
James 2:22-23 – You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. NIV
There is nothing more exciting or satisfying in this life than to hear the Father say, “Well done!” To be on the same purpose page and see the fruit and navigate the warfare of building His Kingdom and bring a Reformation is a thrilling privilege.
