Breakthroughs – Kings in the marketplace face all kinds of resistance – both natural and spiritual. They are accustomed to seeing all kinds of breakthroughs as well. When we run into a barrier, we eventually realize it’s not a wall. It’s the next step in a staircase to our inheritance and we have to “lift up our eyes” to see the way over the obstacle and operate at a higher level on the next step.

Surviving ship wrecks – Imagine you are Paul with a mission to take the gospel to Rome. On the way your ship is caught in a storm, all the cargo is thrown overboard, you fast for 2 weeks… then you crash into an island and ride a plank to shore… where a snake is waiting to bite your hand as you help build a fire to get warm (Acts 27-28). Doesn’t sound all that smooth does it? God intervened with direction in that adventure, but he didn’t pre-plan it or control every detail. Your life, too, is mix of blocking circumstances, spiritual warfare, Godly interventions, open doors and eventual victories. Both God and the devil are wondering if you’re going to give up. In the midst of that storm-storm tossed ship, at night, after two weeks of rain… you have to lift your eyes to see a way of escape. That means your theological position is that God can be trusted to show you through any situation that arises. In the midst of trauma, your heart is positioned to hear an angel say, “you will make it.”

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Cor 10:13 KJV

I lift up my eyes to the hills — where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.  3 He will not let your foot slip — he who watches over you will not slumber… Ps 121:1-3  NIV

Paul didn’t just see his own life saved. The whole crew, prisoners and staff, was spared because of one King that kept lifted his eyes to heaven.

God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you. Acts 27:24

The rest were to get there on planks or on pieces of the ship. In this way everyone reached land in safety. Acts 27:44 NIV

Lifting your eyes – When we look beyond the present problems in life what we see is the promise of God’s inheritance and the prosperity, influence, and ministry that he wants His people to operate in. To overcome the nearest obstacle, your eyes are on the big picture. What’s God doing in the Kingdom? What’s your role? How does that play out in the desires of your heart? You must maintain this lofty perspective (seated with Christ) to keep from being discouraged by your circumstances.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.            Jer 29:11-12 NIV

The LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, ” Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward; 15 for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever. Gen 13:14-15 NASU

Seeing the Way to Breakthrough – Christians that believe God is sovereignly responsible to keep their lives nice and neat usually blame Him when things go wrong and stop hearing His voice at exactly the time the Holy Spirit will whisper a way of escape to the next level of blessing. God isn’t going to keep you out of the battle. Warfare is neither pretty nor pleasant; it’s a fact of life. However, victories and breakthroughs after the battle are the sweeter than honey.

I spent a couple of hours on the phone with Stuart Tatum and Doug Meadows yesterday. We’ll eventually get their interviews up. I’m very impressed with the vision and perseverance God is putting in Kings. These are exciting times to see the the network of Kings established to “let thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.” And, the people God is positioning to make it happen are most precious. They understand the vision to release Kings; communicate the message, make the money, and do the mission.

1.The Message – Our first goal is to get the Releasing Kings message into the hands of the messengers that will carry it… do it, preach it, teach it, example it.

2.The Money – The second goal is to help Kings break out of poverty by networking them with practical opportunities to prosper. We want to introduce them to the right people, the right opportunity, and the right financial approach.

3.The Mission – Network Kings with opportunities to mix business and missions. Accomplish the great commission through the marketplace.

Life is an adventure. People are a blessing. God is amazing. We’re winning.
