A Study Group – Many people are involved in Bible study groups to Release Kings. Here are some helpful suggestions www.Releasing-Kings.com/Starting-a-Group.html.
Entering “the Ministry”
Hearts on Fire – When people get saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, there are several stages of maturity we all go through. First, we’re just glad to be on the winning team and we enjoy the security of knowing our salvation is assured and that God loves us and hears our prayer. We have relationship with God! Next, we begin to realize we have unique gifts and some kind of a ministry and we begin to gravitate towards it and practice in the safe atmosphere of our church home. More often than not the Holy Spirit will put a strong desire in our hearts to give God our very best. He gave us His best and our hearts long to bless the Father and share Jesus ministry to bless others.
Here’s where get tripped up. We often assume that if we’re going to give our lives to “ministry” we have to go to Bible college and become a pastor – or at least make a staff position in the church… short of that, Kings may settle for becoming elders. I want to suggest that Kings don’t make very good pastors or elders. We’re entrepreneurial, results oriented and gleefully look for new mountains to climb. Whereas pastors adjust their pace to the slowest lamb; Kings are prone to stay ahead of the fastest horse.
About 2% of Christians are called to be in the 5-fold ministry on a church staff somewhere equipping the saints. The rest of us are called to actually do the ministry outside the church. The sooner we realize we’re not supposed to be elders or staffers the better – for us and the church. Many church splits are cause by zealous Kings trying to take the congregation away from the pastor… instead of focusing their faith and their hearts on their true calling in the marketplace. Kings take those same 5-fold gifts and use them in the marketplace instead of the church. We are trained in church by apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastor/teachers. The reason is profoundly simple; so that we can go into all the world and “be” apostolic, evangelistic, pastoral and teach others how to become Kings too. The goal is the Kingdom – The church is a training center for launching ministry.
Marcel and Annemieke – I met Marcel at a conference we did in the Netherlands in 2005. They shared a dream to go to Kenya and start a hospital. Annemieke is a medical doctor and Marcel is a business major. Marcel was uncomfortable when friends questioned him about being a traditional missionary (usually indicating you leave home to become a pastor in the 3rd world). The conference and our book Releasing Kings helped him make a distinction between the church and the Kingdom and between ministry as a priest and a King. For the first time they saw their somewhat none-traditional approach to ministry as main stream. They got their permission slip from God to pursue the real desire of their hearts. Now Marcel is releasing the hearts of other Kings as part of his job description. They will play a strategic role in God’s plan to bless Africa. It’s a great story and you will enjoy their interview.

Opportunity! – I helped Jayston Tunnelle (a pastor from Liberia) write a business plan for a grocery store in Monrovia. We need someone with experience in retail / groceries to review it and we need an investor to make it a reality. The details of the business start-up and Jayston’s contact info are on the link.
You’re invited into the vision to release Kings; communicate the message, make the money, and do the mission.
1.The Message – Our first goal is to get the Releasing Kings message into the hands of the messengers that will carry it… do it, preach it, teach it, example it.
2.The Money – The second goal is to help Kings break out of poverty by networking them with practical opportunities to prosper. We want to introduce them to the right people, the right opportunity, and the right financial approach.
3.The Mission – Network Kings with opportunities to mix business and missions. Accomplish the great commission through the marketplace.
