I spent part of the Labor Day weekend reading Desire to Destiny. Writing a book is a little too much like having a baby… You don’t want to sign up for the next one right away. I got into chapter 21 about goals and ran into this:
4. For people who got lost on the way; pastor them to their dream; include them in the cause.
5. Deploy an army of like-minded mentors and coaches to help with number 4.
Marketplace ministry is both an evolution and a revolution that God is using to fund and accomplish the great commission. Our churches are filled with people that believe they will never make it into full time ministry. The older they get the more their hopes of being used by God have faded. They each have so many motivational “tries” before they give up and many have used their allotment. When we are saved and filled with the Holy Spirit we all have a desire to fulfill our destinies. We just haven’t understood that most of us aren’t called to a pulpit in a local church… there’s something better.
I hear the voice of the Holy Spirit like a cry in the wilderness… It’s the great shepherd, Jesus, calling His people back to their dream. I hear the dry bones of Ezekiel’s army rattling themselves together to stand again. And, I can hear breathing among a people passed by. The Day of the Lord is upon us. It’s time for you and I to reach out to those “who got lost on the way.” The work of the ministry belongs to the saints and their platform is the marketplace. God is calling His people into the ministry. Those whose dreams have been stolen and destroyed are now invited into life and life more abundantly. Your dream can come true; prosperity and fruitfulness will be your portion. Joy will be your anthem. Lives will be touched by your ministry. A grassroots revival of financial breakthroughs has already begun. It’s something the Lord is doing that you shouldn’t miss… and, like Andrew, we shouldn’t miss telling Peter, we’ve found Jesus – in the Marketplace!
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John 10:10 NASU
Andrew , Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus. John 1:40-42 NIV

This book was a true revelation to me. I am beginning to move from the Priesthood anointing into the Kingly anointing and didn’t even understand it until I read this book. It brought to me understanding, wisdom, and revelation in my spirit to what I already knew in my heart. It is clear as a bell to me now!
Life is an adventure. People are a blessing. God is amazing. We’re winning.
